For centuries, the Mapuche tribes of Chile have eaten maqui for strength before battle against Incas and Spaniards. Lab studies have crowned the maqui berry as the fruit with the highest antioxidant content (ORAC). This berry grows wild in Patagonian rainforests because it’s impossible to domesticate.
